The whole policy
This site sets no cookies. Not strictly-necessary ones, not functional ones, not analytics ones, not the 412 "legitimate interest" partners. It cannot remember you between visits, because there is nothing to remember you with — readership is counted by a self-hosted, cookieless beacon whose daily hash can't be reversed or linked across days.
The one exception, disclosed
Signing in to our staff console sets a single session cookie — for the people who run the site, on a page behind a login. Unless you work here, you will not receive a cookie from us. (If we ever meet in person, we'll bring real ones.)
If this ever changes
The privacy notice changes first, with its dated header — and this page stops being funny. We intend to keep it funny.
