Privacy notice

This notice covers this website only. It is short because we collect almost nothing — which is the point.

What this notice covers

This notice applies to the mithrashealth.com website — the pages you are reading now, including the journal, glossary, whitepaper, and the launch waitlist. The platform itself is pre-launch; when it launches, it will carry its own, substantially more detailed privacy documentation.

What we collect

If you join the launch waitlist, we store the email address you enter, the time you submitted it, and the browser identification string your device sends (used to filter automated submissions). Separately, we measure how the site is read using our own self-hosted, cookieless counter: for each page load it records the page visited, the referring site, the browser family and operating system, the viewport width, the interface language, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. To estimate how many distinct readers a page has, the counter derives a short identifier by hashing your IP address and browser string together with a key that changes every day — the raw IP address is never written down, the hash cannot be reversed, and it links nothing across days. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the page load is counted without any identifier at all. Like every website, our hosting infrastructure also produces standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) used solely to operate and secure the service.

What we deliberately do not collect

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. There are no third-party analytics, no advertising pixels, no fingerprinting, and no trackers of any kind — the measurement described above is built and hosted by us, stays on our own infrastructure, and is never shared with or enriched by anyone else. We do not buy data about you, append data to your email address, or share your address with anyone. The waitlist is not a marketing list: it exists to send one launch announcement.

Why we process it, and on what basis

We process your email address because you asked us to — consent, in the GDPR sense (Article 6(1)(a)) — for the single purpose of telling you when the platform launches. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not send anything else. The aggregate page measurement rests on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in understanding which writing is read, in the least intrusive way we could engineer: no cookies, no cross-day linking, no third parties, and respect for browser opt-out signals.

Where it lives

The waitlist is stored on infrastructure provided by Railway Corporation in the United States, encrypted in transit. If you are in the EU/UK: submitting the form transfers your email address to the United States for the purpose described above.

Retention and deletion

We keep waitlist addresses until the launch announcement has been sent, after which the list is retired. You can have your address deleted at any time before that — email us from the address in question and it will be removed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, and portability over personal data we hold about you (GDPR, UK GDPR, and various state laws). Since the only personal data we hold is the email address you gave us, exercising any of them amounts to one email to us. We respond to all such requests.

Changes

If the site ever starts collecting more than described here — analytics, for example — this notice will change first, with the "last updated" date above moved accordingly.
